WHO WE ARE

Gnardawgs was established in August 2022 as an outreach group that is dedicated to reducing harm in the local New Orleans community. Our primary mission is to reduce harm, foster community, and offer assistance and vital resources to those who need it most.

 To achieve these goals, we organize and host outreach distribution days each month. We are focused on serving the individuals who live in areas of greatest need, specifically. members of our community who are unhoused.  Pursuant to our mission of harm reduction within our city, we work to ensure that the members of our community who are unhoused receive essential items that will help address and hopefully alleviate any hardships they may be experiencing.

During our events, you'll see our passionate team of volunteers distributing first aid supplies, water, food, dog food, and clothing. At Gnardawgs, we understand the importance of harm reduction. That is why we equip ourselves with resources like Narcan, which can help combat accidental opioid overdoses, and provide clean works that can help prevent the transmission of bloodborne diseases. By actively engaging in these efforts, we strive to alleviate immediate suffering and promote sustainable long-term well-being within our community that we love so much.
